The Signs in the Sky

Our well-known zodiac signs come from the ancient greek astronomy. There are 88 constellations in the sky, of those are 12 zodiac signs. They change about every 12 month and indicate the position of the sun at this time (or better at this time 2500 years ago). The Native American signs work similar. The Chinese Zodiac signs are also 12, but only change about every year. They are not connected to constellations in the sky.

Horoscopes and Astrology

There is no scientific evidence for the validity of horoscopes and astrology. They are fine for entertainment, but you should never make important decisions based on them.

By the way, the signs of the zodiac were finally established over 2,500 years ago by the Achaemenids in ancient Persia. Precession is the change in direction of the Earth's axis. The earth rotates like a spinning top.
